My name is Julia Strippoli and I am currently an undergraduate student at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. I am studying Political Science with a focus in Sustainable Development. My dream is to present communities with the benefits of living sustainably and assist them in implementing sustainable tactics into their every day lives. I plan to become a Certified Regional Planner, who develops plans and programs for the land use.
I accredit Stockton and my experiences there for my passion of sustainable living. I started my career at Stockton when it was known as the "Green College of New Jersey." Although Stockton has lost that title, I still see many "green" aspects at Stockton and I continue to learn from the example they lead. Also, joining the Student Action Volunteers for the Environment (S.A.V.E.) club introduced me to a group of students with the same passion for environmental quality that I have. We strive to educate our community on environmental quality through hosting events on campus. I have been an active member in this club since my first semester here at Stockton.
I pride myself on being a young woman who is concerned for the environment in which she lives. I want to dedicate my life to educating the public on the matters of climate change, environmental destruction, and living sustainably. My passion for these matters, as well as the knowledge on them I have gained at Stockton, will assist me in my life endeavors and help me to be successful in them.
